Sissy (Avis Faye)was my only sister and I'm proud to have been her brother.
I know this post does not really belong in an Adventures in the Oil Field but I have been thinking about her especially after seeing the Alan Jackson video which he sings about a young woman named Sissy.
Sissy and my Kathy were best friends.
Sissy was the best Aunt to my children and when Heather was a very young child Sissy always took her to church on Sundays.
Me too. I can't open a bottle of green olives (which I do often) without thinking about her. And now in honor of her, I've raised two girls who LOVE green olives.
Hopefully, the third girl who will be partly named after her, will love green olives too!
Cissy could also drive a Camero, rock the Carpenter's on the 8 track, and make me laugh like crazy all at the same time. She also taught me to love nail polish, high heels and Jesus. If there is anything good in me today, it's because of Jesus and I thank Cissy for that.
I'm sure I'll have to comment again when I think of more memories.
Roger, this blog belongs where ever you want it! I never met Cissy, but the stories I hear from Amber and in reading your blog, it is obvious that I truly missed out on time with a wonderful person!

Anyway,
I miss her everyday.
